The goal of this project was to help retain existing customers by improving their satisfaction with the product while a major overhaul to the user interface was occuring. By providing a simple, easy to use UI for making shortcut assignments the functionality was expanded to cover many more commands than where previously available.
Extensive user research was conducted to understand how the existing system was used. As mockup and prototypes were made feedback was obtained via a public blog.
The project was a big success based on user feedback and customer retention.
